Under Armour Boots: Men's 1257847 001 Black Side-Zip Tactical Boots
Hey. This is your girlfriend. Remember last weekend when you got home from that hiking trip, and I made you leave your disgusting men's shoes outside so they didn't smell up the house? Remember that other time I refused to let you wear your hiking boots to the grocery store because they were so hideous, and you looked like an idiot? I found an answer that I think we're both gonna like: Under Armour Men's 1257847 001 Black Valsetz RTS Side-Zip Tactical Boots, to be exact.
I know you don't think I know anything about the kind of work boots you need for your hiking trips, or your outdoor projects, or whatever else you wear them to do (read: everything). But I'm pretty sure you can't find any fault with these. They've got synthetic leather and textile uppers that are supported with welded, abrasion-resistant film around the perimeters of the feet. They basically wrap around your ankles and give you crazy support. It's called Under Armour ClutchFit technology, and the reviews refer to it as a “second skin” that's lightweight yet super-strong. Sounds good, right?
There's more, too. Since you usually end up complaining about how heavy your combat boots feel when you've been out for awhile, I just want to point out that these have “Micro G” foam along their full lengths. It's really responsive and springs back and gives you a lot more bounce in your step. (That's not feminine to admit!) The shanks of the black boots are made from TPU, which is apparently both lightweight and rigid, so your feet and ankles are held up without being weighed down.
As far as that whole “leave them outside because they smell so horrible” thing...well, these Under Armour boots have Ortholite sockliners with memory foam and polyurethane. They minimize slippage and rubbing (no blisters), but they also dry quickly and minimize foot odor. That's huge. Trust me.
The soles are low-profile but have good thick tread. The toes are also capped with TPU (a mix of rubber and silicone) for extra protection. Remember that time Jim dropped a tent pole on your foot? And I had to help you hold the ice on your toe after the nail fell off? Yeah, not gonna be a thing anymore. Like, ever again.
With all that said, let me be a girl for a second here, too: these look great. They're black and they lace up, and they look sort of like regular sneakers, or like a hybrid between boots and sneakers. With a military thing kind of going on, too. Hot. Since they won't smell and won't hurt your feet, and I like how they look, I think they're a pretty good compromise, don't you?
I hope so. Because I already bought you a pair. You can wear them wherever you want. So go ahead and enjoy these Under Armour Men's 1257847 001 Black Valsetz RTS Tactical Side-Zip Boots.
