The Wolverine 1214 offers some pretty fancy technology to protect you from water's damaging effects. The Gore-Tex waterproof nubuck leather uppers have nine billion holes per square inch; that means water can't get in, but perspiration can get out. How cool is that? Cordura stitching outperforms nylon, cotton, leather and so on, by factors up to ten! Durability times ten, pretty cool!
The Cambrelle lining, is abrasion resistant with excellent moisture wicking and rapid release technology and Thinsulate offers the three most important words in insulation:
thin, warm and light. Most insulations bulk up with wear and tear and lose their insulation properties. Thinsulate is made from the lightest synthetic material and will never leave you "out in the cold."
The legendary Vibram sole is a leader in soling products because of its durability. It's slip and oil resistant too. The shank, which supports your arch, is nylon for strength and flexibility. The polyurethane midsole with it's tiny pockets of air, and the full cushion footbed combine together to offer themselves up to gravity, so your feet, joints and legs don't take the brutal shock day after day.
