Wolverine Shoes Peak AG Composite Toe Non Metallic Oxford Shoes 2372
These Wolverine 2372 Men's Falcon Composite Toe Non-Metallic Oxfords look like ordinary oxford shoes, but fit like they’re custom-made just for you. The uppers are Full-Grain Leather, the only material you’d pick if you were designing your own work shoes. You know that leather is resistant to abrasions, yet requires minimal maintenance. The Mesh Lining has been treated with an Anti-Microbial material. This means that no matter how much your feet sweat, the quick drying mesh lining inside the Wolverine shoes will keep your feet dry and comfortable. It will also help protect against infections from fungus, mold, mildew, and reduce odor. Even so, if these reddish-brown Wolverine shoes start smelling a little funky, you can remove the Air Cell PU Cushion footbed for easy cleaning or replacing. This footbed, along with the Nylon Shank, provides comfort and arch support even on those extra-long days.
Your job requires you to be in an out of secure areas, and the ASTM-Approved Composite, Non-Metallic Toes protect your feet against falling objects and compression, but won’t set off metal detecting alarms. The Sculpted Rubber outsoles on these Peak AG shoes are designed to provide traction on wet or dry surfaces, and are slip- and oil-resistant. These Wolverine 2372 Men's Falcon Composite Toe Non-Metallic Oxfords are Electrical Hazard rated to protect you against accidental contact with open circuits and electrically charged equipment. The Opanka Sole construction gives these oxford shoes flexibility, and a cushioning effect that allows the shoe to conform to your foot. That’s about as close to custom-made as you can get without having your own shoemaker.

Comfortable and clears metal detector...
By: Nuke It Bill
Got the Wolverine black shoes (2373) and liked them so much, got brown ones too (2372). The shoes are wide and comfortable - the most important factors to me.
For my job, I need to have safety shoes with toe protection. Typically in the past, this meant steel toes. Unfortuntely, steel in my shoes triggers the security metal detectors at work (Nuclear Plant). The composite toe means I can keep my shoes on when going into my job. No more wet socks on rainy / snowy days.
If you work at a Nuke plant, I recommend these shoes.

Problems around the heel/ankle....
I wore these shoes for a couple of weeks straight. After a couple of days I noticed that in the heel the shoes were slipping a little so I tightened the laces a little more. The next week I was on a business trip and had to wear these while on site. After a couple of days I noticed that my ankles and the top of my feet were getting a little sore. The third day it was very irritating and when I removed the shoes I found that my ankle had rubbed raw and there were open sores.
The shoes felt like they'd fit fine when I got them, after a little breaking in. Never had a pair of shoes rub in the way these did. Another co-worker of mine commented that he had a similar problem with his pair. I'd recommend trying these on for a while before buying.
