You put pounds and pounds of pressure on your body every time you step. It jars joints, fatigues muscles and can even create bone-rattling pain and exhaustion. That’s why Wolverine 10214 Men's 6 Inch Slip-Resistant Waterproof DuraShocks EH Work Boots are built with a bevy of comfort features that all perform a similar function: they resist impact and shock.
What's special is that these Wolverine boots are built with Wolverine DuraShocks technology. The outsoles are made with shock-resistant polyurethane, material that’s lighter than rubber despite its heightened impact-absorbance. Rubber compression pads were integrated right into the sole, little cores of cushion that absorb impact. Perfect for a comfortable pair of work boots, especially if you're on your feet for long hours.
When your compression pads are absorbing impact, your body absorbs less pain. The technology used for DuraShocks boots is designed to convert stepping shock into energy, feeding it back into your body so you feel less fatigued.
Not enough cushioning? Lightweight polyurethane in the midsole will take care of that. This shock-resisting core of comfort in these Wolverine Griffin boots puts a spring in your step to keep you feeling more energized. The outsoles are attached with direct attach construction for a tough, sure bond. The glued construction method creates a weather-resistant seal around the soles. When you walk, you’ll be doing it on 3D OrthoLite footbeds. That 3D doesn’t mean they leap out of the shoes. The inserts are styled in a tri-density design to give you three comfort layers of contouring OrthoLite cushioning.
Additionally, the outsoles used for these Wolverine boots includes electrical hazard, heat-, slip-, oil-, abrasion-, water- and chemical-resistant technology. Wolverine's heat-resistant boots have been tested and are heat resistant up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit (500 degrees Celsius) and meet NFPA 1971:2000, Clause 8.8. Wolverine Electrical Hazard footwear has been tested and is rated as ASTM F2413-05 1/75 EH. Electrical hazard construction protects the
wearer from open circuits, prefect for a pair of work boots.
The brown, ankle-high design of these slip-resistant boots is detailed with black accents against the brown leather. It creates a handsome look, but the uppers feel even better. They’re made with full-grain leather, stuff that stays soft and pliant around every step. Full-grain resists wear and tear, and even stands up to weather. The leather used for these Wolverine boots is waterproof, so even the elements can’t hope to take it down.
Wave mesh lining keeps your feet feeling cool while they’re inside the leather uppers of these waterproof boots. The lightweight mesh material allows air to flow around your skin. It keeps you less sweaty, and therefore dryer.
Build your workwear wardrobe with the Wolverine 10214 Men's 6 Inch Griffin Heat-Resistant Waterproof DuraShocks EH Work Boots, because you need feet that feel good whether you’re on or off the clock. Also, if you’re not completely satisfied that they’re the most comfortable boots or shoes you’ve ever worn, send them back for a full refund. Why? Because these Wolverine DuraShocks boots feature a 30 day money back comfort guarantee.
These boots are covered under the 30-day Comfort Guarantee, we will gladly accept your return of UNWORN merchandise within 30 days from the date of purchase.

A great boot by Wolverine. A little stiff at first but after a few days they loosened up. Tread is good, not much mud gets stuck in them. Water resistant and heat resistant is a plus. You will be very happy with the high quality of these boots.

Very comfortable but......
By: Jeff F.
Adding to my previous review, after wearing these for 2 months at work, one of the boot soles failed completely, separating in 3 places and cracking in about 6 places. It looks like it was run over or something, except the rest of the boot is perfect - even the tread! The worst thing I did was stomp some mud out of the treads on Friday. I went to put them on 2 days later and found the cracked sole. WPS has been super and is replacing them at no charge. I am really wondering though about how durable these will prove to be...
I will update after I have had the new pair for awhile.

Comfortable boot wears well...
I work in a shop on a concrete floor and the first week I wore these boots I was amazed at how good my feet felt after being in them all day. After wearing them in the shop for three weeks now, I have to say that they are pretty comfortable, though they seem to do a better job when I'm moving about instead of just standing in one place for long periods of time. The padding inside seems a bit weak in the arch so I may have to supplement with additional inserts down the road. They wear well and clean up easily. Nice boot for the price! I'm anxious to see how they do on the long haul.
