SureFire Flashlights: HS2 A BK Minimus LED Headlamp
The seven dwarves had it going on. Despite being short, plump, inept in the kitchen, and socially awkward, they managed to snag that babe Snow White. Yeah sure, she was fleeing from that evil witch, but she didn't have to stay at the dwarves' house. Lately, we've been thinking that it was their headlamps that made them seem so appealing and confident in themselves. If you too are looking for a headlamp that's bright, comfortable and attractive, look no further than the SureFire Flashlights Minimus LED Headlamp HS2 A BK.
One thing the dwarves must have liked about the Minimus is its name--it wouldn't intimidate them. But with this tiny name comes big output. The high-efficiency LED bulb provides a brilliant white light, even in total darkness. You can adjust the light output from zero to 100 lumens via the knurled, no-slip, right-hand output control knob. Even little dwarf hands have no trouble adjusting the beam.
This headlamp produces a wide beam of light. Proprietary refractive optics give a beam that's optimized for a human's natural field of view. The lamp is in a housing that can rotate up or down 90 degrees, giving you a lot of choice and control when you wear it. A red filter is included with the headlamp. It gives you the option of projecting low-signature light that preserves dark-adapted vision.
The Minimus runs on a single, lithium 123A battery that's contained within the tilt-control knob. The battery has a 10-year shelf life, so even if you use this only occasionally, it'll be ready for you when you want it. Even the battery access cap is specially designed. It has a short leash to keep you from dropping or losing it.
The headband that keeps this lamp on your head has a fine weave and is strong but comfortable. It's band features a moisture-wicking Breath-O-Prene forehead pad. It fits securely with or without a helmet.
The Minimus Headlamp is built from tough polymer and hard-anodized aerospace aluminum. It's lightweight but tough enough for combat, caving and mountaineering. It's also submersible to three feet for up to thirty minutes. And knowing that most people who wear headlamps get themselves into dangerous situations, the Minimus has great safety features. This lamp has a setting for a SOS beacon that can run for days.
When it's time for a headlamp (and really, what time isn't), you should choose the best. Pick this SureFire Flashlights Minimus LED Headlamp HS2 A BK. It's dwarf tested and Snow White approved.

camping OR biking...
I bought my Surefire flashlight HS2 A headlamp for a camping trip, but have ended up using it for bike riding more than anything. Just the ability to make this light more or less bright without having to take it off makes it extremely useful for saving the battery during night time riding.
The build quality is outstanding. The body of the headlamp is aluminum, and the part that touches your head is made of a really durable plastic. The headstrap is also durable and comfortable, and I usually forget that I'm wearing it.
I haven't been in a situation where the light been submerged, but it's nice to know that it's extemely water resistent in case of an emergency.

SureFire? SURE THING!...
I am a member of the military and have use SureFire tac lights for years. I have seen the 15 dollar head lamps at the local box stores for a while now and have purchased a couple . You get what you pay for . I choose to roll the dice and pay a bit more for the SureFire HS2 A BK Minimus LED Headlamp. I could not be any happier. The most attractive feature of this headlamp is the ability to control the lumen output! I use this when i coyote hunt at night. Another big selling point for me is the red lens filter! Coyotes can see white colored light but red does not seem to bother them. Once I call them in I can turn on my light acquire my target and fire my rifle. 100 lumens is very bright!!! I can light up far distances with clarity. If you want a cream of the crop headlight, I highly recommend this!!
