Made with Sandvik 13c26 stainless steel, the 3-inch blade is comprised of carbon, chromium, silicon and manganese. Made specifically for knives, the metal is prized for its edge-retention. The tough steel resists corrosion and micro chipping and rates over 60 on the Rockwell hardness scale. The Sandvik steel is used in razor blades because it holds a sharp edge so well.
The black polyimide handle is made from a synthetic polymer, a lightweight, plastic-like material. The handle has indented finger grips down one side, giving you precision control at every cutting task. The blade folds easily into the handle, taking the knife to a total length of 4 1/8 inches. The Ken Onion speedsafe design allows you to open the blade up again with only one hand.
The smooth, drop-point blade style allows you to use this knife in a variety of ways -- cutting, slicing, dicing, ripping, you name it. Weighing only 3 1/2 ounces, this lightweight knife may be attached to any pocket with the removable clip.
