Self defense. Fire and rescue. An uncomfortable hangnail. There are a multitude of tasks - both big and small - that this Benchmade Heckler & Kotch 14412 Pika Plain Edge Knife can handle. Keep it in your pocket at all times and keep yourself that much more prepared for all the little surprises life's going to dish out.
The Benchmade knife nylon handle is covered with black scales that give you grip even when your hands are wet and sweaty. The glass-filled handle is thin and lightweight, only 0.45 inches thick, with dual stainless liners that add durability.
The handle has to be amazing to match the blade it holds. Made with 9Cr13 stainless steel, the 3.5-inch blade measures 58-60 HRC on the hardness scale. The strong steel holds its edge well, but it can be re-sharpened if the need arises. The blade is a slim .11 inches thick, designed with a plain edge that gives you a smooth cutting surface.
Use the ambidextrous thumb-hole opener to wield the blade in either hand. The black knife is only 8.32 inches when fully open, 4.82 inches when folded up. The Heckler & Kotch knife has four carry clip locations, so you can wear it in a few different ways. The Benchmade Heckler & Kotch 14412 Pika Plain Edge Knife is a small tool, but it can handle lots of big tasks.
All Benchmade Knives are made to order, please allow 3 to 6 weeks for delivery.

Made in China , which was a disappointment . I shave with a straight razor so know something about sharpening . This knife arrived today so don't know how well it will hold an edge but arrived with a 'take the hair off your arm' sharp. I decided to keep it as it is a good knife , has H&K on it ,and if I break or loose it I am not out much. Called customer service and was told the mix up on the web site would be corrected.
