Their smoke colored lenses lenses provide maximum glare reduction and are ideal for applications where eye strain is a major factor. They allow approximately 16% visible light transmission, show objects true to natural color and flatten light to maintain normal depth perception.
See clearly and safely with a 9.75 base wrap-around clear lens that fully conforms to the latest ANSI Z87.1 standards. These standards set minimum performance criteria for tests of impact resistance, penetration resistance, ignition and flammability resistance, lens thickness, prismatic deviation, haze, luminous transmittance, corrosion, and more.
The glasses are tested, for example, to withstand the impact of a pointed 500 gram projectile (weighing about 18 ounces, we figured it out) dropped from a height of 51.2 inches without any fragments touching the eye.
