The Rad-Atac by the Radians folks is an affordable investment in eye protection. If your concern is flying debris, sparks or other hazards, don't let the price fool you-these glasses fully adhere to the latest ANSI Z87.1 standards set in 2003. We're talking tests for impact resistance, penetration resistance, ignition and flammability resistance, lens thickness, prismatic deviation, haze, luminous transmittance, corrosion, and so on. They can withstand the impact of a quarter-inch steel shot traveling 120 miles per hour without the lens breaking into your eye. Your eyes are also protected from 99.9% of all harmful UVA and UVB rays with this single wraparound lens.
To make sure these specs sit in comfort, they feature lightweight materials and soft, non-slip rubber tipped temples. This model has clear anti-fog lenses on a black frame.
Practical and economical, the Rad-Atac AT1-11 model protective eyewear by Radians is a smart choice for smart workers.
These Radian AT1-11 clear lens safety glasses were purchased for a home renovation project over the summer. One of my top priorities was safety, and along with a helmet and gloves I bought these safety glasses. They did a decent job of keeping falling debris out of my eyes, along with protecting them from flying splinters or clouds of sawdust from the table saw. The only downside was that they aren’t the best quality – but for this price, they’re well worth the added protection. I would recommend them if you’re just planning on doing a project or two – they wouldn’t stand up to any regular or heavy use, but for what they are they’re quite reliable.
