The flame-resistant, 8.5-ounce canvas fabric is a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high-tenacity nylon. This combination of fabrics gives these fire-resistant jeans the abrasion-resistance of nylon and the soft touchability of cotton in one great garment. In addition to the flame-resistant fabric, these Carhartt FR jeans feature a brass zipper fly with Nomex zipper tape and an arc-resistant high-tension snap closure at the waist. Wearing these pants will allow you to do your duties with peace-of-mind, as they guard against flash-fires and electrical arc hazards. They’re NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) 70E and NFPA 2112 compliant and are rated for HRC Level 2 protection.
