This brown, hooded jacket is made from 10 ounce 88% cotton, 12% nylon flame-resistant duck. No, you won’t find any feathers anywhere on this work jacket. Cotton duck is heavy canvas that’s extremely durable. This Berne FR Jacket is OSHA approved (meets 1910.269 requirements), ASTM F1506 approved, and NFPA 70E compliant. All this technical talk means that you’ll have flame-resistant protection through and through. In addition, cotton duck is treated to make it water-resistant. So you’ll be comfortably drier on those drizzly, misty mornings.
Speaking of comfort, you’ll welcome the warmth of the heavyweight flame-resistant quilt lining that’s been added to in inside of this insulated jacket. The modacrylic batting has been quilted to 100% twill cloth to create a soft interior that will keep you warm even on those cold winter days. The twill is flame-resistant as well, so you’ll be warm and safe from every angle in this fire-resistant jacket.
What’s great about this FR jacket is that the flame-resistant protection doesn't just end with the fabric. The heavy-duty brass front zipper is flame-resistant and is covered by a storm flap with concealed snaps to help keep the elements out. The inside double pocket with flame-resistant hook-and-loop closure keeps your valuables safely tucked away. You’ll find even more storage space in the two FR lined front patch pockets. When the wind really starts howling, you’ll appreciate the three-piece insulated hood with flame resistant drawstring that is attached to this flame-resistant jacket.
