Most FR overalls have a soft, cotton/polyester fabric blend on the inside and a fire-resistant coating on the outside. The coating reduces the chance that you'll be seriously burned on the job, since it won't catch fire itself. Unlike regular clothing, which is flammable, FR overalls create a barrier between you and danger. All types of workers should consider wearing fire-resistant overalls.
