The Cold Avenger CAEX-REG-BLK Black PolarTec Wind Pro is the exact thing you need for freezing, sunny or sandy conditions. This Balaclava design covers your entire head and is equipped with a Cold Avenger ventilator. This design is form fitting and will protect your face, neck, ears and airway from cold or sunny conditions.
The hood is able to be used without the ventilator, but the ventilator cannot be used without the hood attachment. The complete hood design is great for protection against cold weather conditions but can also keep you protected from harsh wind or sun.
The hood is made with PolarTec Wind Pro. This is an extremely breathable and wind-resistant fleece. It has also been named “super fleece” for its versatility, as it can be used in many different conditions. This fleece works to wick moisture away from your face. The hood has also been made so you can easily fit goggles or a helmet over it.
The ventilator uses soft, polyurethane that is medical grade and non-toxic. It also has microbial resistance to help avoid unpleasant odors. The seal sits comfortably against your skin but a custom foam insert is also included for an extra layer of comfort.
The PolarTec Wind Pro will keep temperatures approximately 40°F to 60°F warmer than the outside air, and also works to humidify dry air. This may improve help maintain your airway health as you won't be breathing in such dry freezing air.
