The shirt fits well underneath (i.e. works well for layering) and as advertised, does work to wick away moisture from your body - something which is definitely important living in Arizona where it can get really hot. Although it isn't necessarily very substantial in the cold, it does help and makes a noticeable difference in cooler climates as well.
