Carhartt FRK007 DNY Men's Dark Navy Flame-Resistant Hooded Sweatshirts are heavyweights in every sense of the word. They’re NFPA certified for Level 3, to protect you from arc flashes caused by machinery you’re working around. The NFPA, or National Fire Protection Association, has created Hazard Risk Category Levels to help you to choose the right personal protection gear. They start at Level 1, which is low risk, and go to Level 4, for high-risk clothing.
Working around machinery that can cause dangerous arc flashes means you need to get clothing to protect you. You might even have to layer it to meet the needs of your job. Innovative Textiles makes the heavyweight fabric for these sweatshirts. They’re zip front and have a draw cord to keep you warmer.
