We all know that carpenters find themselves in positions that are similar to those plumbers get into. So why aren't carpenters known for pants that fall down? Maybe it's because they've got pants and shorts made just for them. Shorts like these Wrangler Riggs Men's Ripstop Dark Brown Carpenter Shorts 3W320DB. It's got a waist that fits and a place for all their tools.
The secret to durable work clothes is ripstop fabric. When this type of fabric is woven, thicker threads are inserted at regular intervals at right angles to each other. If a snag occurs, these thicker threads prevent the cloth from getting a large rip. The dark brown fabric these shorts are made from is not only ripstop, it's a hefty 10-ounce 100% cotton. The fabric is heavy enough to be rugged, but it's still light enough for summer comfort.
Strong men rely on strong fabric. At the stress areas of these shorts, they're reinforced to further prevent rips and tears. The back pockets of the shorts are even lined with 1000 denier Cordura fabric.
Wrangler's Riggs line is designed to provide comfort to men who work hard. These shorts feature Wrangler's room2move Fit which is designed to allow you to move with ease on the job site. In the crotch, these shorts have an Action gusset that gives you lots of room and won't bind. They have a 10 1/2 inch inseam too, so you can bend and crouch and not have to worry about them riding up or constricting your motion.
Most Working Men carry too many tools around with them. These shorts are ready for that--they've got deep front pockets and roomy side cargo pockets. The right front pocket has Wrangler's ingenious, patented, leather tape measure reinforcement. This reinforcement means that the edge won't fray as you pull the tape off over and over again. You'll also find the right-side hammer loop and oversized watch pocket useful.
When you're getting ready to do some carpentry, make sure you're wearing the right work clothes. Zip into these Wrangler Riggs Men's Ripstop Dark Brown Carpenter Shorts 3W320 DB and get out there. You'll appreciate the features and comfort Wrangler always provides.
Fabric is good. Sewing and fasteners (zippers, rivets, buttons) similar to other work pants (good). Width of leg opening is nice in that it gives a bit more freedom of movement and air circulation. Only downside is they seem to be made for men with a flat behind. My butt sticks out a bit and takes fabric from the crotch region (not good).
Why Choose Working Person? Let Our Customers Explain!
I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company.
I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning.
This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North.
Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped.
Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.
