Hey caveman, just because we're biologically programmed to pack on the pounds in the winter doesn't mean we have to comply. Winter doesn't mean that humans have to hole up and hibernate 'til spring. There's no reason to give up your favorite outdoor activities because a blizzard dumped seven feet of snow outside of your house. Get out and enjoy it. Don't shrink from the snow and ice, run through it in a pair of YakTrax XTR Extreme Outdoor Traction Ice Cleat Shoe Chains 08505.
Made of durable and lightweight rubber and carbon steel chain, these cleats expand to fit onto almost all footwear. They slip on easily (no cumbersome straps or buckles to fight with) and let you safely enjoy the winter. The spikes dig into all types of terrain: ice, packed snow, wet sidewalk and rock. The thermoelastic outer band that fits snugly around your shoes is made of durable rubber that can be worn in temperatures as low as -41° Fahrenheit.
YakTrax's exclusive spike design enhances traction while getting rid of snow buildup. The Anti-Snow Pack Plate in the front doesn't allow snow to stick to it. In addition, XTR's spikes and chains are made with high-strength carbon steel that resist rusting and abrading. You'll get years of use out of these snow cleats.
Designed for off road adventures during the winter months, Yaktrax cleats will help get you out of the cave and back to your normal, outdoor routine. Wearing them, you'll have the ability to confidently hike and run over all outdoor trails.
Don't hibernate. Get out and stretch your legs in the wintertime. You'll be healthier and happier. A pair of YakTrax XTR Extreme Outdoor Traction Ice Cleat Shoe Chains 08505 will keep you safe and steady while you do it.

The plate kept sliding, making the system feel unstable and uncomfortable. If you're looking for the best possible traction at this price range, I would recommend the Stabilicers Originals or Kahtoola Microspikes

I have to wear some type of cleat per my employer during the winter time as temperatures are usually below 0 F. My co-workers and I have tried all types of winter cleats for ice, and these are some of the least useful. It's nothing against this brand as they seem heavy duty, but when we were walking on sheets of ice, only the style with spikes in it actually prevented us from falling. We have a box of these that nobody will use because they don't work. Unimpressed overall with their efficacy with handling ice.
