This Ariat flame-resistant Polartec hoodie is imbued with Polartec® PowerDry® FR Technology and has a water-resistant finish to make sure you stay dry all day. It also keeps you from being uncomfortably drenched for hours with its superior base material, made up of mechanical wicking fabric and patented bi-component construction. Its thoughtfully designed Moisture Movement Technology™ (MMT™) works by pulling moisture from your skin to keep it light and airy all throughout the day’s labor.

But why not have the best of both worlds? You want to be moisture-less and comfortable, but you also don’t want to be scorched by a flame. This FR men's hoodie has a Dual Hazard technical mid layer that makes it water-resistant, but it also makes the grey hoodie fire-resistant. It meets the NFPA 2112 and NFPA 70E standards for fire safety, and it's comprised of a durable, soft fire-resistant knit with lightweight insulation. The National Fire Protection Agency's 70E is a standard for electrical safety requirements for employee workplaces where there may be arc flashes. For oil and petroleum industries, the 2112 regulation mandates that employees must wear flame-resistant workwear if there's a risk of flash fires. When you're wearing this Ariat men's FR workwear, you'll have high quality protection surrounding you.

Furthermore, this water-resistant hoodie has an ATPV rating of 16. The ATPV is a rating assigned to flame-resistant clothing, which indicates the level of protection the wearer is provided. It has yet another rating to assess how protected you are against fire, and this flame-resistant Polartec hoodie rates at HRC (Hazard Risk Category) level 2. The HRC is used to define the necessary arc rating of a an article of clothing worn under potentially hazardous work conditions, and it ranges from HRC 1, or low risk, to HRC 4, or high risk.

An additional feature this men's work hoodie has is Greater Arm Mobility, meaning that the fabric has excellent stretch and recovery. It allows you to be unrestricted in your movements while not having to worry about the durability of the Ariat workwear. The water-resistant fire-resistant hoodie is made of 10 ounces of rayon, modacrylic, para-aramid, and spandex in an FR knit to defend against hazards, while granting you mobility at the same time. This men's outerwear also features front hand pockets for quick storage of tools, hands, and whatever else you'd like.
