~These Avenger A7248 Men's Black Composite Toe Work Boots aren't named wrong. We didn't get confused. They look like cool high-top sneakers, but they have all the features to qualify as true work boots.

The black, ankle-high design doesn't look very work boot-ish. The uppers are made with water-resistant leather that flexes and bends around each step. Durable leather withstands wind, water, wear and whatever your workday dishes out. Waterproof bladders keep moisture from getting inside.

The air bag cushioning system is designed to absorb the force in every step, so it won't impact your feet and joints. Dual-density outsoles, made with two layers of shock-resistant polyurethane, softly cushion your steps. Remove the insoles any time to clean them.

EVA foam creates a cushioning midsole layer to add even more comfort. The lightweight fiberglass shank gives muscle cross stabilization for better support. TPU, thermoplastic urethane, was combined with the fiberglass to add more lightweight strength. Leather-like TPU is durable and shock-resistant.

The rubber soles create an impact-resistant foundation. The oil-resistant rubber won’t corrode in the presence of harmful chemicals. Slip-resistance keeps the gripping tread tough, even around wet floors. Bumper toes and heels protect against scuffs and abrasion.

Composite safety toes provide protection without the danger of steel. Unlike steel, composite won’t conduct heat, cold and electricity. It does meet ASTM 2413-05 standards of impact and compression resistant. EH rated, these shoes provide Electrical Hazard protection to absorb up to 600 volts of dangerous electricity.
