When you're looking out for others, you need to make sure that someone is looking out for you. These Black Diamond boots do just that. They have layers of rubber and insulating material to keep your feet dry and warm. Thirty one inches of boot fully covers each of your legs in waterproof rubber (Non-NFPA certified boots).

There are five layers in these steel toe insulated boots. Starting on the inside these Black Diamond fire fighter boots are lined with either canvas or felt, then there's a layer of filling, then foam rubber insulation, then more filling, and then they're encased in rubber. In the 32 inches of safety toe boots you'll find two different zones: the lower part that surrounds your foot and the upper that covers your leg, both mean to keep you protected and safe. The uppers of these insulated boots are lined with canvas and the lower parts are lined with felt.

These Black Diamond boots' insoles are also made to keep your feet dry and comfortable. These fire fighting boots have double insoles that are made of rubber and a 100% cotton expanded material. The rubber protects and the cotton cushions.

In order to protect your feet in a fire, you need steel boots. These Black Diamond boots have steel toe caps, steel midsoles, and steel shanks. The toe caps protect your feet from falling objects and impact from above. The steel midsole is sandwiched between the rubber outsole and the felt boot lining. It makes this pair of puncture-resistant boots safe to wear by protecting the bottoms of your feet from all sorts of on-the-job hazards. Finally, steel shanks help ensure that these safety toe boots are comfortable when you walk. They force these Black Diamond boots to break (or bend) appropriately around the balls of your feet.

The rubber outsoles of these fire fighting boots, which are hefty and treaded, are designed for walking across irregular terrains. They're rugged, anti-slip, and abrasion resistant.

While tall, rubber hip boots can be hard to get into, these Black Diamond boots have pull-on loops mid-way down. They help you get your feet into these safety toe fire fighting boots comfortably and allow you to pull them up all the way.
