This blue hood is made with 13 ounce, 100% cotton duck that's tough, easy to wash...and more importantly, flame-resistant. Tough cotton duck is a tough, canvas-like material that's made for long wear, the perfect fabric for this three-piece hood.
Inside, 10.5 ounce quilt lining adds more flame-resistant protection even as it adds cushioned softness. Madocrylic (a tough, acrylic material) batting, also flame-resistant, provides yet more comfortable cushioning. Even the chin protector has a flame-resistant hook-and-loop closure.
Use the Nomex drawcord to adjust the fit, blocking out the cold even as you lock in flame-resisting safety. Arc-resistant snaps help you secure your hood inside the work jacket of your choice, though this hood is ideally suited for use with Carhartt flame-resistant coats and bomber jackets.
