This fully seam-sealed rain jacket is waterproof. It's made with a 100% polyester dobby shell that has a 5000mm fabric waterproof rating so it's definitely downpour-proof. Polyester dobby is wrinkle-resistant and durable, like all polyester fabric, while the dobby weave adds a slight texture to this Eddie Bauer jacket.

The fabric also has a 5000G/M2 breathability rating. That means it vents heat naturally to keep you feeling cool inside, because a hot rain jacket is an uncomfortable rain gear. Speaking of breathability, the interior is lined with mesh material. The airy nature of mesh adds more heat-releasing properties to the design of this breathable jacket.

Use the hook and loop closures on the front of this Eddie Bauer jacket to secure the storm flap and keep rain away. Even the tab cuffs are made with hook and loop closures for a snug fit that prevents moisture. The open hem is finished with a drawcord and toggles, so you can cinch it for further protection from the rain.

Dark Adriatic blue accents, made with 100% abrasion-resistant nylon, complete the colorblock design. You can be "now" and look good even when it's raining. Use the front zippered pockets on this hooded jacket to keep your stuff dry, too. Pull up the hood when you like and secure it with the drawcord and toggles, or detatch it to keep it from messing up your 'do.
