Kodiak Boots: Men's 310082 Composite Toe EH Insulated Boots

Looking for some hard-hitting work footwear? These Kodiak Men’s Black 310082 Blue Renegade Composite Toe Boots are as tough as the bear on their logo. Or at least pretty close.

Kodiak boots are made to last. These composite toe boots are constructed with triple-row stitching on the vamp, quarters, and heels for durability. For additional toughness, the shaft and tongue are made from 3600 denier quilted-nylon. The molded TPU toe guards are abrasion-resistant, cemented, and stitched to give superior strength. The back counter of this footwear is double-layered adding to the stability and strength of these Kodiak boots.

Staying warm and dry won’t be an issue here! Blue Renegade boots are made to resist water inside and out. The full-grain leather uppers are waterproof and feature sealed seams. Inside, these Kodiak boots have a waterproof bootie construction. Providing warmth without bulk, this insulated footwear has 200mg Thinsulate insulation. While active, this Thinsulate will keep you warm in temperatures down to -30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Safety is important on every worksite. These safety toe boots are made with Kodiak’s ultimate slip-resistant and oil-resistant rubber compound outsoles. Kodiak’s Rockfibre technology makes these metal-free without compromising safety. The toes are composite to protect feet while remaining lighter weight than other materials. The composite-plate protects the soles of your feet from accidental pokes and punctures. These composite-toe boots are CSA approved Grade 1 and Electrical Shock Resistant.

Everyone wants comfort. The outsoles of these EH boots are constructed with flex chambers to make them extra flexible. The removable polyurethane footbed is made with Kodiak’s Comfort Zone 2 technology. These insoles provide optimum shock absorption and are anatomically engineered to conform to your foot. The moisture-wicking lining keeps your feet cool and dry and feature an anti-microbial treated top layer that hinders the growth of bacteria and fungus to keep your feet odor-free. For extra room and comfort, you’ll find an anatomical wide fitting off-center last. The patented padded tongue is designed to form to the foot.

These Kodiak Men’s Black 310082 Blue Renegade Composite Toe Boots are the ultimate in strength and durability. So get yourself a pair of work boots that are worthy of the Kodiak logo. We promise, you will be happy that you did!

awesome boots...
I work on the railroad so i wanted a boot that was safe all ways and insulated and no cold toes in winter and had good support for working and working on uneven ground like the ballast or granite rocks tracks are laid on. These boots are warm enough with 400 gram insulation and a composite toe. Keep my feet comfortable for 90% of New York winter out on the tracks when it dips into the minus or single digits I break out a 1000 gram boot. These boots did everything I expected and not one wear issue. No defects. My boots I got June 2015. I wear them from Oct. to April. Still in great shape i hope to get two more years use out of them.

Promising on paper, very disappointing in reality....
I work on the Portland, Maine airport ramp for a big overnight shipping company. Not the brown one, the other one. I need a winter boot that is durable, lightweight, black, comfortable, and warm.

On paper, this would seem to hit all those points. Unfortunately it hits none of them except color! I did not even get an entire winter out of them before they let me down.

Durability: I wore through the lining of the heel in maybe a month. It has coarse stitching directly along the vertical center-line of the heel/rear of boot, unless you wear nothing but silk or teflon socks there's no way not to wear it out. No lining reinforcement anywhere. Toe/ball of foot lining wore out soon after.

Lightweight: composite toe boots should be lighter than metallic toe. These weigh a ton. I suppose I could have looked up the actual weight but I was surprised by their mass.

Black: Well, they got this part right.

Comfortable: I admit that I have generally been wearing either hiker-style or duty boots such as Bates, which are generally more comfortable having some kind of foam mid-sole. These are very much more the work-boot with a slab of hard rubber as a sole, and what feels like nothing at all in between. Feels like no cushioning at all. Very hard on the feet doing airline tarmac work. The angle and arch of the sole seems to force my wide feet down into the toe box. I took them out of the closet as a backup pair this week and was reminded how uncomfortable they really are. They went to Goodwill. Maybe someone with a size smaller foot will enjoy them.

Warm: Composite toe, plus insulation, should mean warmth! Granted it's only 100gm insulation, but my feet were colder in these than some uninsulated boots I've owned. Waterproof layer is not at ALL breathable, so you end up sweating so quickly that it freezes your feet right away.

This may all sound like a rant. It's as objective as I can be. Especially after putting them back on my feet a few weeks ago having been in the closet since last winter. My reaction was "How the *&%&*$^ did I even wear these last year???"

I would not recommend these to anyone.
