It was a dark, foggy night in Gotham, and Officer Clark was resenting the emergency call that came in at 2015 that evening, forcing him to leave the comfort of family and home to pursue a known predator. Now it was just him and his Pelican Black Knight Flashlight, hoping against hope he wasn't too late.

The Black Knight, with the light of 30,000 candles, had served a long time as his trusty backup. And a battery burn time of close to 8 hours was a comforting thought, too. Investigating the shadowy outlines of the irregular terrain, he felt it start to rain and figured things couldn't get much worse. At least his ~Black Knight 8040 Flashlight was water-resistant, and wouldn't cop out on him now.

Almost losing his footing on a wet slope (he cursed under his breath and resolved to check out the Working Person's Store for better boots with more traction), he was glad his Black Knight Flashlight had a sure-grip unbreakable sheath of thermoplastic rubber to resist chemicals and sweat and keep his torch in his hand where it belonged.

Suddenly he heard a slight whimper, then a mysterious scratching sound. He swung around his Pelican Flashlight, noting how the Xenon bulb's intense light was able to cut through the rain and fog to illuminate (and briefly blind) his quarry. Yes! It was Bootsie, his neighbor's cat, missing since noon, and now trapped in a woodpile meowing for mercy.

He wasted no time extricating the sharp-clawed feline, as he had a favorite TV program coming on soon. He worked his way back to a better-lighted area, wondering how Pelican could be so confident about their Black Knight M10 8040 Flashlight. They guaranteed that if he somehow broke it, they would replace it. Forever. He wondered if they could somehow do that for cats. After all, he could always get a great flashlight at a great price at WPS.
