Why can't protective eye wear look cool? They can with these glasses. The ~Rad-Infinity IN1 line features a sporty, wraparound high-gloss painted frame with a hidden hinge temple design.
You don't have to spare comfort for looks, either. The temple pads are made of a soft, non-slip cushioned rubber while a gel nose piece allows for easy wearing throughout the day.
Of course, when it comes to protection, these babies meet the newest ANSI Z87.1 (2003) standards. These standards set minimum performance criteria for tests of impact resistance, penetration resistance, ignition and flammability resistance, lens thickness, prismatic deviation, haze, luminous transmittance, corrosion, and more. For example, in the High Velocity Test, a pneumatic cannon accelerates a quarter-inch steel pellet to 102 miles per hour. The lens is targeted straight on from three different heights, and at seven different angles. To pass the high-velocity test, no contact between the lens and eye is permitted during impact. In addition, no frame parts or lens fragments that could damage the eye may be ejected during impact. What this means is, whether you're worried about fragments in a machine shop, or kicked-up gravel by your motorcycle, this eye wear is for you.
The lenses themselves are protected with a scratch-resistant coating, and provide 99.9% UV protection. Smoke-colored lenses lenses provide maximum glare reduction and are ideal for applications where eye strain is a major factor. They allow approximately 16% visible light transmission, show objects true to natural color and flatten light to maintain normal depth perception.
