I got these boots and was pretty pleased taking them out of the box, look great, comfortable as hell. A lot of cushion and padding in these things. More than my previous pair of Wolverine Buckeye loggers. I had them broke in to a comfortable state in about 3 days. I work in a factory now so most of my day is spent on concrete which makes the weird curved feel of the lugs on the sole a little odd to walk on for a couple of days but I got used to it and the soles eventually wore a little more flat. Tread cleans out pretty good, the uppers are stiff enough to give good support for climbing and unlike other loggers I've had you don't twist your ankles as much walking/running in the woods/brush They kept my feet dry all winter, but....

In the past month or so the leather covering the composite toe cap tore just a little and has continued to get worse, I'd say 70% gone on the toe cap. I figure the waterproof feature is pretty much gone with that. Other than that leather wearing out in less than 6 months and the initial weight of them (you just get used it), they're a great boot.

As I said, very very comfortable as compared to Wolverines, Docs, Schmidts, Carolinas, etc, If i can figure something out for toe coverage on them I'll get another pair.

Excellent Work Boots...
By: rowedave76
I use these boots in a power plant the last few years. When I originally bought them I was an on shift operator and would wear them for 12+ hours a day for 7 days before time off. They are some of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I suffered through a Morton's neuroma after hiking with a pair of tight Danner hunting boots and other boots give me pain but these don't. I even started wearing them when not working due to their comfort. Several years later I've worn the sole uneven on the outside of each boot and am looking to replace them with another model of Logger from Timberland.

Their only drawback is probably their overall weight and they are large.

One of the best boots I purchased very comfortable and sturdy...

Very good quality boots. Sturdy and solid, I will buy again. Very comfortable and had plenty of boots in the line of work. Had Carolina boot,s wore out extremely fast, tried different brands and installed tuff toe so far so good.

Comfortable, Durable, 3 yr old Timberland PRO boot...
Amazingly comfortable long lasting boot. Bought mine pair 3 yrs ago. Still taking a beating and going strong. The comfort level diminishes over time. I put a pair of Dr. Scholls insoles in which helps when you're working 12 hr. shifts 6 days a week on concrete walking, squatting, crawling, kneeling, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc. Kneeling and crawling on the rough surfaces does take a toll on the toe area tho. I found a product called Tuff Toe that remedied that issue. Restored my boots water-proof-ness and gave it a wear resistant surface. I think the boot will have to completely fall apart now before the toe wears down... let alone completely thru. Original strings too. I just finally found a re-placement pair... but I have no idea when I'll actually wear the new ones, because the old ones are still wonderful. Just wish the price wasn't $100 more then when I bought my first pair ($169). Was tickled to find my re-placement pair for $199 with FREE shipping. Got them today... good to go for a while now. :)

3 yr. durable boot...
Bought my pair of Rip Saws about of 3 yrs. ago. Still going strong. I also work in a factory setting and am constantly walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling on cement and climbing ladders to perform my duties. As stated in the previous review, the toe area covering the composite toe wore out/thru. But, I found a product call TUFF TOE and applied that. WONDERFUL! Restored my boots water-proof-ness and is SO DURABLE, that I think the rest of the boot will have to completely fall apart before it wears down - let alone wears thru. Tho the insoles do get tired after this many years of use and abuse (some being 12hrs shifts for 6 days a week), that I put Dr. Scholle insoles in. Boot is completely comfortable still. I have purchased other boots each year, but end up wearing these every day, and giving the other boots away to co-workers.

Would love to purchase another pair, but the price of this boot jumped up $100 from when I bought it... :(

I would recommend this boot to anyone looking for a long lasting COMFORTABLE logger... just wish the price was still around $170 - not $270.
