Chippewa just gained a customer for life....
By: Eric
Ok, disclaimer, I bought these for fashion reasons solely. I do not ride motorcycles so I can't tell you how they hold up to riding. In any event, words can barely describe how much I love these boots. Just like Taos, my previous boot purchases were all Frye's. Silly, silly me. I doubt you can find a better looking, handcrafted in America engineer boot for the price. They do fit true to size I suppose, but I added a insole just to make it nice and snug. A lot lighter than I expected and the leather is oh, so soft.

It sounds crazy, but after one purchase, I'm buying Chippewa's for the rest of my life.

Brown is better....
By: Sam s
It is very hard to find superior brown engineer boots and when I happened upon these then found out they were Chippewa, I was ecstatic. I have trusted Chippewa boots for a long time because I believe they are a great manufacturer of boots and these boots solidified that. They are very fashionable in my opinion and useful when I decide to go for a ride on my Harley. For the price you can not beat these boots.

By: mike jarvis
I just received these today and am really impressed with the comfort. I have fat feet and ordered 12EE. My normal size would be 11EE but I wanted to ensure enough room. I wish I had chosen 11.5EE, but I don't plan on hiking with them. Much better then the Harley boots I've tried on which are way too stiff. The leather was soft and pliable right out of the box and they really look great! The price from here was phenomenal.

great boots!...
By: taos
I bought a pair of Frye engineer boots first. Dumb. Chippewa offers a vastly better con-
structed boot for $40 less. There is no comparison as far as quality and fit. Anybody
want to buy some Frye's cheap?

By: Frank
Brown is a nice change from the standard Black. These boots are advertized with a removable insole, which they do not have ,The only thing i would like in them is a cushioned insole, other than that they are a very nice boot.

Too much money for too much discomfort...
By: Jake
Good looking boot. But, the most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn. Never again! Chippewa needs to put a lot more effort into a comfortable sole. I was under the impression they came with insoles, however they did not. I tried to put insoles into these boots but the boot was too tight to wear with insoles. Sizing was also a problem you really can't wear heavy socks with these boots, they have to tight.

Kind of rough for the money....
I love the looks of these boots but they are NOT comfortable. Buy a wider or longer boot than normal so you can put in a gel insole or something, as the inside of these boots seem rough and unfinished. At the very least, you will have to wear two pairs of socks.

Comfortable Crosovers...
By: Roger T
I wear 14's and 15's in most shoe brands but I knew from my Chippewa Rally boots that 13's should fit and these did. As in some other reviews I had to put insoles in and trim them to size to make the boots more comfortable. Now they are are broke-in and fine as long as I'm not on a miles long walk. The stitching could have been better in a few places on the straps but overall construction and leather quality are excellent. I just got back from the National Cowboy Poetry gathering in Elko, Nevada and these boots make great cross-overs between traditional cowboy boots and engineer boots. They were all-day long comfortable and worked well walking through the 6' of snow that fell. They were drop-shipped directly from Chippewa through and I got them in one week. For those of you unaccustomed to pull-on boots, the heel does tend to pull down till they are broken in a little bit. All pull-on boots are this way but I see people comment on it a lot. RT

Not worth the money...
By: Rusty Pennington
The leather used for these boots is of poor quality, the hardware is cheap and the stitching is substandard at best. These cannot even be considered motorcycle boots. They would not hold up to the rigors of the road for very long. I purchased my normal size for a boot, and these are too long and way too wide. The foot dad was very hard and did not seem to be very comfortable or provide any support. I could not recommend these boots for even casual riding.

Not what I expected...
By: Rob
I should have believed some of the other reviews before I bought these boots. Owning other Chippewa boots, I took a chance that some of the other reviewers were wrong regarding the cheapness of the straps and buckles on these boots. WPS's price was great! I hate having to return them based on what I paid, but what I paid was too much for the boot based on other Chippewa boots I have and what I paid for those boots.

Chippewa Bomber Boots...
By: Bob
I've worn these boots now for a couple of weeks, riding, walking, crawling under and around bikes and cars. My intent is to beat the hell out of them, and I must say they're holding up well. They are tight, but getting more comfortable everyday. I really like these boots and I get positive comments everytime I wear them. I do have a few minor complaints insoles, but after wearing them, no problem, feel fine. Also, the overall look of the boots out of the box, one shaft was basically suede, the other smooth..looked kinda frankenstein style, made out of a bunch of different cows, but that's minor to me, just letting the rest of you know. These boots will last forever, become more comfy daily, and look better the more abuse they get. Love them.

The brown color is confusing....
By: D. Lewis
I bought these and was very disappointed in the reddish-brown color. Other than that these are incredibly nice boots: well made, comfortable, and great looking. So I got them in black (5 STARS!), though I would have preferred brown. The photos show a dark brown, but Dan Post calls this color "Mid Brown Oily" and it says so on the box's label. It's brown with a strong reddish tint - almost orange. It's a hideous, almost feminine color and not at all what's shown in the photos. Also, I have had several pairs of Chippewas in other models and they run a little large.

"Good Lookin Boot"...
By: Tommy Payne
I bought these boots for riding, but they look so good I hate to beat them up riding ,but I will. Great fit .(1/2 size smaller than most) quality leather, good looks. I love them.  I'll have to see how they hold up on the road and report back.
