good looking boots...
By: knarc565
They are truly gorgeous boots! I can honestly say they feel the most durable, and appear to be the best quality of all the cowboy boots I own. If you have ever owned Chippewa anything, you'll know what I mean, these were built to last. With that being said, the sizing is tricky. I read other comments on how to order these as I did not want to FedEx pinpong with WP trying on different sizes.

I wear a 10.5 sneaker, and a consistent 10D in a cowboy boot (rounded toe) with the exception of a 9.5D in my Justin Boots Roper with a square toe. My Dan Post boots are 10D, Justin (round toe) are 10D. In other boots (non-cowboy boot) I am a 9.5D (Danner/Rocky) duty boots and a 10D in Carolina Logging boots. I decided to listen to the advice of others, and cautiously went a HALF size down from my usual in a COWBOY boot and ordered the 9.5D and I gotta tell you, these things fit like they were made for me! I would recommend going a HALF size down from your usual cowboy boot size. I am not trying to confuse anyone, but I was measured yesterday and the little metal sliding measuring device said the actual measurement of my feet were almost an 11D! Use that info as you will, I hope you find the right size to avoid unnecessary shipping to/from WPS.

Tough as nails, beware of size notice....
By: Dan Walter
They are the best pair I have ever owned, "tough for work, but dressy". One comment I must make, "they run large" look for the notice on the website, I missed it and mine broke in a little loose.
Mine are two years old worn as work boots, on concrete every day, and still in great shape.
Don't ever discontinue these Chippewa!

It's luxury boots, not just a jobber's boots...
By: Landpart
I wear these for three years from time to time in warm conditions and sometimes everyday in winter (winter it's somewhat like -20 Celcius i mean). Their really luxury fabric is really luxury still.

This is my best quality pair from the range of the very same shaped 'Thorogood', 'Double H' and 'Justin' (USA-made Justin's I mean). I even decided to wear this Chippewa with my $2000 ETRO suit as I'm not a worker (I regret sometimes) but I am an investment manager, and this boots are looks not cheaper than $1000 Valentino's boots, their fabric even better and they are allow to feel myself like a real cowboy, as the real mans are the real cowboys whole of his life.

This boots are the brilliant piece of authentic American culture and American heritage no doubt.

What about sizing - my foot is 9EE for Thorogood for example, but this 9EE Chippewas are felt some free when compare, but this is because of Chippewas are designed for higher foot-rise (higher bone), this is their fashion. You can use additional insole for example, in case your foots are some flat. But I can't to say that Chippewa's length much different from Thorogood's length.

If you think about to buy Chippewas boots or not to buy, it's not a question - buy whole of the Chippewas factory as Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) did once.

The design is beautiful. The best way to order for size is to bring up the size chart drop down beside the square where you put in the size. If you measure your foot from heel to toe, it will show you the men's size and the woman's size you should order. It's been perfect every time I used it. Good Luck!

Great Boots...
By: RonL
These boots do NOT run larger than the listed size as some other reviewer claimed. That comment caused me to return the boots twice. I normally wear 11 1/2 and now have worn this boot in size 12 for about six months, the right boot is still a little tight but okay.
A great heavy leather work boot, made in the USA. I will buy another pair.

nice and comfortable...
By: George
These are some of the best boots you can buy for money, great quality. The sizing does run big on these you should order a half size smaller than you would typically order in other boots. Very comfortable for all-day use, soles have great traction. This is my second pair of Chippewa's I've had the first pair for over 10 years.

The Work Boots I've Been Trying to Find for Decades...
By: Dan Wray
I really like a western style pull-on boot for working around my property, but have never found one that does the trick for me. After trying dozens of boots over dozens of years, I now have an awesome western style pull-on boot in this Chippewa product. Comparing these boots to my Ariats, Justins, and others, the leather is unbelievable. Way more durable, but still comfortable (just takes a little longer to break in, due to the toughness). Based on other reviews, I first ordered these a half size smaller than normal, but that was a mistake. They fit true to size. I normally wear a 12 narrow, and the 11.5s were too small. The 12 narrows are perfect, and they really are narrow. Usually, I order "narrow" boots, and they seem like a D width. These are 12B and fit perfectly, with of course a typical, heavy boot sock. Every day for a few days, I bent the boots manually with my hands to help break them in, and now the heel slip is minimal. Chippewa, where have you been all my life?
